Habitat for Humanity Nepal aims to address the housing challenges faced by vulnerable populations in Nepal, focusing on sustainability, community involvement and long-term impact.
With your support, we are changing lives and transforming communities. We provide assistance beyond constructing houses.
Since 1997, Habitat for Humanity Nepal has provided more than 1 million people with support to build or improve the place they call home. This is made possible through an established and robust network of local, national, regional, and global partners to support our focused initiatives to secure land and housing rights; advocate for climate justice and disaster risk reduction and response; and foster the development of housing market systems. In line with our country strategy 2024 – 2027, Habitat Nepal develops programs, builds institutional capacity, and strengthens partnerships at all levels, particularly among local, national, and international partners; professionally managed foundations; multilateral and bilateral institutions; peer organizations; and academic institutions.

40% of Nepal’s population lives in substandard housing. Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity Nepal has been taking innovative approaches to facilitate better access to adequate and affordable housing and to develop more inclusive housing market in Nepal.
Our time in the field gives us a personal view on what it’s like for homeowners to feel strength and stability day after day. Because you and me, we’re all humans. And every single one of us deserves the opportunity for a better future.
